Description
How the Gray Circle works
Grain rings are divided into two types: one for holes and one for shafts. However, their working principles are the same. They rely on their own deformation to create initial close contact, which prevents unpressurized liquid from leaking out.
When the hydraulic cylinder starts working, the liquid inside will put pressure on the O-ring seal, causing it to deform. In this way, the O-ring will squeeze the square sealing ring tighter and stick to the sealing surface. At this time, as the liquid pressure increases, the additional pressure generated will also increase. This additional pressure plus the original close contact can effectively prevent the leakage of pressured liquid.
Simply put, the Grain ring relies on its own deformation to form a tight seal to prevent liquid from leaking out. Especially when the hydraulic cylinder is working, it can better cope with high pressure situations.
